Nice shirt...
Been meaning to talk about the handsome shirts which represent our church well where ever one goes. They, along with an equally handsome polo, were done by T.J. Sales who got them done and to us in very short order. Thanks to T.J. and the folks who did such a great job. And if you see someone out and about with the above shirt on, you've spotted a member of our church!

Church wins trophy, write-up in "Cross Country Times"
In case you missed it, our church received a trophy in recognition of its 3rd place parade entry in the Willard Fourth of July parade. Our photo also appeared in Willard's Cross Country Times along with this mention: "Reconciliation Church educated with a display of military uniforms." Below is our trophy. We sincerely thank the organizers of this year's events for letting us participate in this wonderful event to commemorate this hallowed day. God bless America.

Honored...

Breaking News: Our church's "Honoring Those Who Served" parade float entry was honored with a 3rd place trophy in last week's Willard July 4th Parade. There were 30 entries total in this year's parade, so this is quite an honor. We were featured in Willard's Cross Country Times. A big thank you goes out to all who helped set up, walk, and tear down. The credit belongs to the Lord who helped us introduce ourselves to our neighbors in Willard in a big way. For those who might have missed it, you can view photos of the float and parade here and here. See you Sunday!

Great news from Sale...

Good things to report as a result of the church's participation in the Willard city-wide garage sale:
1) We raised a significant amount of money which will go toward the purchase of sanctuary chairs. While these chairs aren't the ones pictured above, they are padded and they are comfortable.
2) Around 200 cards with the church's info were handed out to folks who came to the sale. Pray that these cards sow seeds.

We're on "The Wind"!

Not the wind that blows hard down the Kansas plains, the wind as in 88.3 fm. "The Wind" is a great Christian station and has listed our church on their "Area Church Database". You can find our listing here.

It's Official...
5/4/08: The charter (organizing) service of Reconciliation Church took place this (Sunday) morning. Pastor Joel Santti was officially called as pastor. A short message was preached from 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 on the nature of reconciliation. Then, 16 individuals gave their testimonies on how they came to faith in Christ and officially signed the church covenant. It was a truly moving and historic day. Nothing can be added to what occured; the only thing which comes to mind is the latin phrase laus deo, "praise be to God".

Pastor...
The man behind the messages is none other than our pastor, Joel Santti. His lovely wife Taffy is pictured with him. A graduate of Baptist Bible College, Joel has held music director positions in Michigan and Texas before coming to Springfield to be music minister/associate pastor of South Side Baptist Church. In 2004, Joel was called to pastor in the Willard area and is doing wonderful things at Reconciliation Church. We are blessed to have him.
Sunday gamenight
It's Sunday night...
Sunday night was "gamenight". A fun time was had by all, not the least of which was the pastor, who's quite proficient at dominos...
