Last night was another milestone in the life of our church. The first missionary families supported by Reconciliation Church were selected by a vote of church members. We'd like to welcome the following missionaries to the Reconciliation Church family:

Yes! 100...posts on the blog. Actually 101 for those of you scoring at home. We've been plugging away at church news, sermon notes, news about our culture, faith, and a little humor now and then since March 2008. Here's to more blog posts. Thanks go out to all of you who actually read these things!

Welcome FEEDJIT

You'll notice a box on the left hand side of the blog, most of the way down the page. Meet a fun little gadget called FEEDJIT. FEEDJIT shows you what geographical locations visit the church blog. Never fear though, your anonymity is safe as FEEDJIT won't display, record, or store a specific IP (internet provider) address- just someone's general (non-specific) geographical location. It's a neat way of discovering who stumbles upon the church blog and where in the world they're located.

Honored...

Breaking News: Our church's "Honoring Those Who Served" parade float entry was honored with a 3rd place trophy in last week's Willard July 4th Parade. There were 30 entries total in this year's parade, so this is quite an honor. We were featured in Willard's Cross Country Times. A big thank you goes out to all who helped set up, walk, and tear down. The credit belongs to the Lord who helped us introduce ourselves to our neighbors in Willard in a big way. For those who might have missed it, you can view photos of the float and parade here and here. See you Sunday!

***Willard City-Wide Garage Sale Saturday***

A quick reminder...Willard's city-wide garage sale is this Saturday! Bring your stuff to the church on or before Saturday.

The Willard City-Wide Garage sale is fast approaching It will be held on June 7th. See the announcement on the city's website here. So, bring your stuff/treasures to church by June 7th, and remember that you have the option of donating the proceeds from your sales to the church, or you may keep the proceeds yourself. Whatever you do, make sure to join us on June 7 for fun, food, and meeting the great folks of Willard!

Not the wind that blows hard down the Kansas plains, the wind as in 88.3 fm. "The Wind" is a great Christian station and has listed our church on their "Area Church Database". You can find our listing here.

It's Official...

We're a church!

5/4/08: The charter (organizing) service of Reconciliation Church took place this (Sunday) morning. Pastor Joel Santti was officially called as pastor. A short message was preached from 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 on the nature of reconciliation. Then, 16 individuals gave their testimonies on how they came to faith in Christ and officially signed the church covenant. It was a truly moving and historic day. Nothing can be added to what occured; the only thing which comes to mind is the latin phrase laus deo, "praise be to God".

Organization Sunday!

A quick reminder...Reconciliation Church's organizational (charter) service is this Sunday May 4th. Make plans now to join and celebrate with us, what God is doing in the heart of Willard.

Have you got the date nailed down in your head yet? A big day for our church May 4, 2008 will be. That Sunday morning at 10:00am will be our charter/organizing service. Make plans to be there (early) and bring your cameras! This will be a very special day for all of us!

This coming Sunday (April 13th) night, at 5 p.m., we are having a game night at the church. Bring finger foods and your favorite board game and be ready to have fun!
