Sunday laugh...

This sign shows the limits of human wisdom in a humorous way.

Gideon: God's Unlikely Choice

Pastor Joel Santti: The "Un" Message
Judges 6-7
Lessons/Application from the life of Gideon:

1) God calls unlikely people.
2) God calls those people from uncommon places.
3) God calls them to do unreasonable (humanly speaking) things.
4) God calls them to do things in unconventional ways.

What's "reconciliation"?

Besides being somewhat difficult to spell, Webster's defines reconciliation in part as to restore to friendship or harmony. When you read Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 5 , the word is used twice in two verses (four if you count "reconciled"):

"18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

In this we find our mission, our purpose, and our marching orders. God has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

First Sunday Crowd

First Service in Our New Home!

Easter (Resurrection) Sunday...a day of new beginnings. It was only appropriate that Reconciliation Church's first service in our new home at 302 Jackson St. in Willard took place today, Resurrection Sunday.

15 were in attendance. The service began with a time of prayer and praise and the first song sung in the new building was "Lord, I lift your name on High". Following that, Pastor Joel Santti brought a sermon out of First Corinthians 15 on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ- the basis of our real hope!

Check back soon for photos of the first Sunday...
